How do I instill hope in my kids?

Guest: Brian Holman | Bob Moffitt interviews Brian Holman, Founder of Empower College Prep. Holman says, “Nationwide, 8% of kids from low income families go to college. In Arizona, 46% of the whole state of Arizona go on to college.  Over 90% of our kids go to college”, explaining that part of the curriculum, starting from 3rd grade, is to visit universities each year. Holman shares, “We show them a vision of what’s possible for them… building relationship with their teacher, as well as career trips where they are shadowing people, and college trips where they’re talking to alumni at those universities, building a sense of community that’s consistent with the fact that God creates every single person with a purpose. The passion of the school is Ephesians 2:20; they’re a masterpiece. It’s our job to partner with them and their parents to discover their purpose.”  Holman continues, “Our teachers naturally live out their faith. With things that the kids are experiencing, Jesus comes up naturally.  One second grade student asked their teacher, “Do you think Jesus can take care of my nightmares?”” Empower College Prep
