Discipling church leaders to disciple their people to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 ESV

“The Lord has a big agenda, but He is big! His power to accomplish His agenda is far beyond our dreams. God intends to carry out this big agenda uniting His body, bringing us into His fullness, and healing our brokenness - even the brokenness of our nations!”

(Bob Moffitt in “If Jesus Were Mayor”, p. 146)

Many of our Christian heroes, sought to conquer an evil or fill a need, and so starting small they stepped out in faith and allowed the Lord to lead. Wilberforce and Tubman (slavey), Muller (destitute children), and Booth (humanitarian aid) stepped out in Christ, took on the impossible and changed countless lives not for a season but for an eternity.

With Harvest’s training we have found that consistent small acts of love in the local community can have a dramatic effect. We call these small acts “seed projects” where local people find a need within their community and fulfill it. The seeds start small but over time they can grow into great oaks, as each member in every church seeks to serve the Lord by loving their neighbor.

In cities, towns and remote rural areas, our associates from around the world have sought to take God’s Word to unreached people groups, those who have not heard the name of Jesus or the Word of God. The Dagbani in Ghana, the Mukwando in Mozambique, Kilombolas in Brazil, the Gola in Liberia, the Shipibos-Konibo in Peru to name a few. Our associates have taken and shown God’s Word in action to Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist populations.

Food programs, school programs, training for congregants, elders and pastors alike, one Pastor in Kenya honestly stated, “I have only been preaching thinking that I am reaching out to people, but now I know how to do it effectively by using my life as an example.”

Through the training, school principals have asked our associates to teach and support their pupils. In Brazil following Harvest’s training the church community started a project called Casa das Crianças (Children’s Home), a multifunctional place where children receive tutoring, Bible, and ballet lessons. Further to the tuition, children are taught about nutrition and sent home with a basket of fruit to share with their family.

Youth outreach has taken place around the world, where counselling, sports and social events have opened the door to the next generation. Day care services for children, ministry to women, seniors and widows are operating. Financial debts have been forgiven, brothers who lived in hate for one another, now eat at the same table in love.

Refugees have been ministered to, houses repaired and built, sanitation trenches have been dug, microbusinesses have been initiated enabling parents to provide for the physical and educational needs of their children. In Accra, Ghana, essentials items have been provided for the SOS children’s village. Prisoners have been visited and gifted with food and Bibles. In Nairobi families displaced by floods have been housed. In Kenya sustainable tree nurseries have been planted which produce fruit and wood for the community. Seeds of the fruits are sent to a neighboring village from which they themselves can provide fruit and fuel for their families.

In one of the most dangerous areas of Peru, teams have cleansed and removed trash from the areas where children attend school and play. These acts of love, open the door to the sharing of the transforming, lifesaving Word of God. Why not join us?

2024 proved to be a challenging yet productive year. During the year 62 projects in 31 countries with connections to 1,256 churches with 34,204 people involved in training and 67,061 participants, the numbers are impressive yet more important the training has yielded eternal fruit.

Last year, the wonderful collaboration among our team members speaking 29 different languages and dealing with several layers of intercultural communication, enabled Harvest to play a significant role in the landscape of global missions while proclaiming and demonstrating God’s love in 31 countries.
