Discipling church leaders to disciple their people to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Julian Gibb

Executive Director

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever.” 1 Peter 4:10 –11, ESV

“In God’s plan, the church is at the center of all transformation. It administers the process. It is the communicator and facilitator of Christ’s agenda at every level of society individual, family, community, and nation. It equips its members to go into every corner of society and to represent God’s will and intentions in every area of life.”

(Bob Moffitt in “If Jesus Were Mayor”, p. 169)

Blessings to you from all at Harvest. It has been a productive yet intense year, for on every continent religious persecution of our Christian brothers and sisters is rife. In one country our affiliates face great opposition for even seeking to help their countrymen, and yet the Gospel continues to advance. This year 28,608 participants within 671 churches in 29 countries served their communities through 11,513 DOL and seed projects.

At Harvest our mission is to equip local churches worldwide to make disciples of Christ, so that each member in every church may sacrificially serve. This service is achieved through “seed projects”, small, short-term projects, conducted by believers with local resources to demonstrate God’s love to those outside the faith community.

This year we have served unreached people groups such as the Mwani in Mozambique, the Dagomba in Ghana, and the Thakurgaon in Bangladesh to name a few. In Burundi and Kenya, agricultural programs are confronting food uncertainty. In the Congo stagnant sewers were cleaned and trash was removed to reduce mosquito borne diseases. Medical care was provided for those in dire need, churches were planted and soup kitchens were opened, and youth have been converted from violent gangs to become children of God.

In the Congo, Peru, Bolivia and Nepal micro businesses were formed and are providing families with fiscal security. In Rwanda marriages were healed, latrines were built and repaired in orphanages, whilst schools were painted. In Brazil, Guatemala and Venezuela, children were taught educational programs to provide them with better opportunities. In Paraguay children were shown God’s love through Bible teaching, food, clothing, and psychological assistance. This is the Word of God lived out through practical love. This year we had 57 projects taking place in 29 countries, coupled with numerous self-funded projects and relief missions in Asia and Africa. The following chart shows the breakdown of our global activities. This year 28,608 participants within 671 churches in 29 countries served their communities through 11,513 DOL and seed projects.
